From what i have figuired out, in the macosx x86 version 10.4.4, the disk utility is currupt. This creates the problem of the underscore at the top of the screen, not allowing you to boot. (at this time you can boot with cd, then use the rd=disk%s# command to get into macosx). If you use diskutility on a PPC version or a fixed diskutitliy for x86, to format the drive before commensing installation, it will fix this problem.

Now afetr this, you get a b0 error, from what i have figured, it has something to do with a faulty MBR. To correct this problem you can use hirens boot cd - boot magic to select boot device. Now this sould work and you will get the darwin boot screen. The problem now is when you try and boot with this, you get a huge flow of commands running down the screen, most of them the file path of .kext files, then the computer restarts.

Hope this helps people who are trying to fix this problem, then you will just need to pass the obsticle of the final problem.

This is as far as ive got, if any one else has a way to fix the last bit of the problem, so it boots corectly, would be much appreciated

Cheers
