laythss Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Hello everyone, I should start out saying I am a newbie when it comes to using the terminal, anyways I have been checking the Kalyway OS 10.5 instilation and have tried on one of my PC's and it worked allright (still have some problems with wifi card, sound etc, but this is not why i am posting here today) My first instillation was on a pc that had a Nvidia 8800 Gt, and the instillation went smothly, I used the provided NVInject kext. But with the new PC with the 9800 GT this is not working... instillation is all done but then when booting into the OS, I get the apple logo and then I get that i need to hold down the power button to shut down my OS, at first i thought it could be many different things, I installed the OS couple of times changed different settings etc, but then I decided to plug my other Pc's Graphic card (8800Gt) instead of the 9800gt, and guess what it worked. I have not seen people complain about this before, it seems that most people get the OS to work but have problems with preformance issues of the card. BUT i cannot even to get the os to work with this card. do i have to use some kext, and how do i do that while using the kalyway OS 10.5 instillation. Anyhelp would be great.
