stifler
I'm looking for a relatively easy to install graphics card. Not that I wouldn't dig deep in to the drivers but my goal is a relatively easy updateable vanilla install. I know that there will never be a 100% guarantee but as long as I it is working ... I don't need a real workhorse as I don't do gaming and need no big 3d accel. Mainly I'm working in Photoshop, Indesign and do little SDTV video cutting. Price range is up to 50 EUR (roundabout $65) As I'd like to go with NVidia, my dealer has the following within the above mentioned price range on stock: - Leadtek PX9400GT - Gainward 9400GT HDMI - Asus EN7300GT Silent/HTD/512M - Leadtek PX9500GT - EVGA GF9400GT - Palit GF9400GT Super - Gainward 9500GT HDMI - XFX GF9500GT 550M - Palit GF9400GT Super+ (1GIG) - EVGA GF9400GT Can you recommend any, that's easily installable (only changing ids would be perfect!) mic.mac.hack
Don't go with the 7300, they're old and you can sometimes have problems with drivers on 512MB ones. 9500GT can handle 1080i + 1080p playback if you think you may be interested in that sometime in the future...
