OS-Maniac
To make it short, I just reinstalled OS X from a time machine backup and I found out I had stupid "(from old Mac)" folders EVERYWHERE!!!!! I can't seem to find a way to delete them. I tried repairing permissions using Disk Utility but it still gives me the error. No files are locked. Usually, it would ask me for my password but now it only gives me this stupid error! How can I fix this??? I'm on Leo4All 4.1 AMD w/ the vanilla kernel. It seems like my account is the prob since I created a new account(admin) and I could delete the files with the pass(of course). I am going to move all my old files to it I guess. Thanks anyways! Searay_X
Why not use terminal - I set mine up so I could login with su--- sudo passwd root (enter your current user password when prompted) Enter and confirm new password for root Type su then your password when prompted Now you can simply rm -rf those pesky folders Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/159190-operation-could-not-be-completed-because-you-do-not-have/#findComment-1115865 Share on other sites
