bkny1055 Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 Hello newbi here..i just installed the MAC OSX on my Dell Demision 8300 P4 2.4 512 ram with the audigy 2 plantinum sound card , the only things that does not work is the sound card " audigy 2 plantinum sound card " The board is from audigy but the chipset as i have been told is from Dell.. Any help in getting this sound card to work before i order me a cheap $5.00 dollar sound card P.S. Proteo Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 Audigy cards (as almost any other Creative sound card) are not supported, and perhaps never will, unless in the future Apple decide to include them in their harwdare line. On the HCL, there are listed working and non-working sound cards. Unless someone codes us a kext which enables support for PCI Soundcards, you and a lot of other people are out of luck (USE THE INTEGRATED ONE IF IT WORKS!)
