So, I've been running Leopard very successfully now for 8 months or so on my Toshiba laptop. Installed from Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD, updated with 10.5.3 combo update, and have been updating through Software Update ever since without problem. However, I've always had to keep cpus=1 enabled. Many features in the new iLife '09 though require a dual-core CPU to run.

If I remove cpus=1 (or change it to cpus=2) I can boot fine, but it runs like a bag of ass. It runs okay as long as I keep the cpu activity up, otherwise it goes EXTREMELY slow and lags a lot. For example: if I'm watching a movie, sound will get very erratic, buggy, and cut in and out. However, if I just keep wiggling the mouse quickly or bring the dashboard in and out rapidly, it plays perfectly. Are there any solutions for this yet?? Thanks.
