HowBoutNathan
Hey Everyone, When i turn on my Dell Inspiron 1525 Hackintosh It Makes a massive loud noise. Its coming from the disk drive and it sounds like a loud BRRRRRRRR two times as its booting. This never happened on vista. Its happened on 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 . I cant get rid of it and since i use Darwin bootloader to boot both XP + OSX the noise happens all the time. Also its like a vibration type of noise. Has anyone got a solution to this? Thanks in Advance, Nathan

Ego Tripper
You might be able to get rid of it by disabling optical disk booting in the BIOS, therefore depriving the system of a reason to spin that drive up at startup. Of course, then, you wouldn't be able to boot off a recovery disc if you had system trouble.

It also happens whenever i close the disk drive but if i move the laser thing to the top it only makes 1 noise? Can a warrenty fix this or something is there any other solution?
