late 2007 white macbook, 10.5.6

playing around with apps from snow :( beta* [in 10.5.6], they didnt work, some were marked incompatible, those that weren't just crashed on launch.

at some point or another (maybe after a restart) finder starts into a crash on launch loop(since launchd likes to restart it). i did not replace, execute, or even copy the other finder.app onto my hd, nor did i play with any of the system libraries or bsd-area.

Console tells me that:

Process: Finder [372]

Path: /Applications/finder.app/Contents/MacOS/Finder

Identifier: com.apple.finder

Version: ??? (???)

Build Info: Finder_FE-6072200~19

Code Type: X86 (Native)

Parent Process: launchd [125]

Date/Time: 2009-03-17 19:34:18.040 -0500

OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.6 (9G55)

Report Version: 6

Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)

Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000

Crashed Thread: 0

Dyld Error Message:

Symbol not found: __NSConcreteStackBlock

Referenced from: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DAVKit.framework/Versions/A/DAVKit

Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

i've replaced the file with the one from the 5.6 combo update, and reinstalled the whole of the combo update, unfortunately this did not elevate the problem.

when trying to open the finder from terminal it generates this error: "LSOpenFromURLSpec() failed with error -10810 for the file /Applications/finder.app." but it appears to be fairly generic.

any help that doesn't involve a reinstall would be much appreciated.
