I am curious what this rig is worth. The i7 cpus look more awesome every day and i dont know if i can keep myself on a core2quad for much longer :pirate2:

Anyway, heres whats going on:

•• Intel 2.5 Ghz Q9300 Core2Quad CPU

•• Arctic Freezer 7 Pro (installed with arctic silver and a backplate mount so its screwed in, no cheap plastic clips)

•• ASUS P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Mobo

•• 8 GB Corsair DDR2 800 RAM (4x2gb, maxes out mobo)

•• Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 512MB

•• Samsung Super Writemaster 20X DVD±R sata dvd drive

•• Kingwin KF-3000-BK 3.5" 3-bay hot swap rack. Uses only 2 bays on the case.

•• 160GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 SATA drive

•• Cooler Master RC-690-KKA1-GP mid-tower case

•• Real Power Pro 550w PSU

Has firewire 400, usb 2.0, eSATA, and audio on the top as well as the back of the case. Runs leopard like a real mac, no issues.

What might this be worth, should i choose to sell it? Thanks!

Hey Bandit, I just built one that is very similar, except with a Phenom. I tests out better than I expected, just a bit slower than yours I think, but with all choice parts. Anyway, i thought about the price question and I concluded that I could possibly sell it for something less than the sum total of its parts, maybe 75%if I got lucky and someone wanted that particular combination. This is just a wild guess, maybe someone knows better. good luck.

FYI, if you are a the average game playing, email checking, web surfing, movie watching user, you have no and I do mean NO reason to even go near an i7. Unless of course you're doing it for the "mine's bigger" reason ... ;)

This coming from a guy running 2 virtual machines with 3 browsers each, 2 web servers, all kind of production apps (including audio and video encoding) , and 3x24" screens from a "homely" Q9550 at stock speed (2.8ghz)... (and barely breaking a sweat I might add...) and all at the same time all day long... overclocked I just waste electricity but it goes to 4.2ghz with no problems...

You might find someone here willing to give you $700.00 USD for it (not me).
