Ok, first of all, I tried to "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32@85", but it still reverts back to 1600x1200 at 85 which is out of range. The reason is because I installed the new nvidia drivers, and set my resolution and refresh rate from sytem preferences. Now everytime I boot into Mac I get out range.

I was wondering if you guys could give me the exact keypresses on the keyboard to lower the resolution, I won't be able to see what is happening. For example, give the keys that I have to press to get into system preferences after boot up, and then to display settings, and how to change the resolution

Thanks,

Daniel

Try these..

rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver*.plist

rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.preference.displays*.plist

rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver*.plist

rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.preference.displays*.plist

rm -f /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver*.plist

rm -f /Library/Preferences/com.apple.preference.displays*.plist

This should clear resolution settings in OS X.
