Kext Problems - maybe cd related

Hey everyone, i have installed 10.4.4, with problems booting, either getting a b0 error, or not booting at all (underscore in top corner of screen). I am currently downloading " 10.4.6 intel ppf files by JaS for 10.4.4 restore dmg" hoping that it may fix the problem i am having.

 

Anyway, my main problem is that i can't change the ATIRadeon.kext to incorporate 0x41531002 because when i try loading the kext, it comes up with the error;

 

Kextload:loaded version 1.9 of module com.apple.iokit.iopcifamily differs from requested version com.apple.iokit.iopcifamily
Kextload:unable to register module with kernel
kextload:a link/load error occured for kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeon9700.kext

(run kextload with -t for diagnostic output)

 

My theory is that it is because i use the dvd to boot with the command rd=disk1s2, i believe that it could be effecting what i am able to do in macosx. However i am unsure

 

 

Can anyone give me any ideas? Both with the kextload issue and if the "10.4.6 intel ppf files by JaS......" would maybe fix my booting error.
