Vitnar
Hey Guys! I have installed Hackintosh before a few years back but have since wanted to return as there seems to be alot more support for more hardware. Firstly I am wanting to know which version of Hackintosh is the best to use, I got a hold of leo4all last night, however when I came to open it this morning there is lots of different rar files in the downloaded rar file. Which one do I use? Secondly my hardware set up is as follows, do you think it could work? AMD Phenom II 940 3.0GHZ Asustek M3A-H/HDMI 4GB DDR2 RAM 250 WD HDD ATI Radeon 3400 If anyone could help that would be fantastic, I am not too fussed about if it would install on the hardware as I am going to try it on a spare harddrive anyway, the most important thing is understanding how to extract what I need from the leo4all install. electrontau
any advice at all? I am using iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 on my AMD Phenom X4 9550, ASUS M2N32 SLI, and GF8800GTS (G92). Ethernet port does not work but built-in wireless works. Easy to install, just follow instructions from iDeneb site. Includes many apps. czpcgk
I would recommend Kalyway, as that distro is the most reliable and most people use it. Another is the recently released iPC distro. That one comes pre-packaged with everything you may need, but it may be buggy. It's you're pick, really. Nheru
I was hoping to get some help as well. I've got an AMD Athlon X2 6000+ on an ASUS M2N-SLI and I've had nothing but problems trying to complete an install. I've tried just about every distro (iDeneb, iAtkos, Kalyway, Leo4all, and probably others I'm forgetting). I have yet to be able to successfully complete an install, usually ending with an error stating "The installer could not validate the contents of the 'xxxxxxx' package." The package it fails on depends on which distro I'm trying. I've tried multiple burns of the iso's, sometimes at 1x. I've even re-downloaded iso's thinking perhaps I've gotten a 'bad' iso. My current setup involves an IDE DVD drive and an IDE HDD, although I have tried SATA-IDE, IDE-SATA, and SATA-SATA. Where other's have seen success, I've seen none and I'm not sure where to turn next! Thanks in advance for any assistance. Nheru
Over the course of my efforts I've used both store-brand DVD's (currently Staples) and also name brand ones (Memorex and HP). I can't imagine each of these would present the same problems, but thank you for your input!
