Synaesthesia
I have Backup Extension saved on leopard Drive... Root folder.. my question is how can i installed Kext from backup folder to extension folder and fixed this issue using Install dvd? i am new and dont have any idea how to use single user modeOK if you boot up with -s you get to single user mode. Then type "mount -uw / -" Now if you want to copy extensions from root to extensions folder, just type cp - R (extension name) /System/Library/Extensions/ If you want to delete extensions, type rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/(extension name) After doing this, always delete extensions.mkext rm -rf /System/Library/extensions.mkext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/156322-graphics-problem-after-upgrade-1054-to-1055/#findComment-1100106 Share on other sites
zuz_242
the easiest way would be having a second partiton with a working osx system which could be used to access the bricked system. even an external 8gb usb-memory might work for the second install. or a live dvd like ipc (which does not work on my rig though) without this you have to relay on text based commands for solving problems, which sucks for win users to solve your problem you basically have to delete the drivers first to get into osx. (did you try booting with -x ?). then may you install your working drivers. Synaesthesias solution should work, you may substitute the -s boot with booting from your install dvd, as there is also the possibility to use the terminal app for the command line tasks.
