HP Touchsmart IQ510 Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T5850 @ 2.17 GHz 4GB Ram 500GB HD 9300M GS Nvidia Distro ===== iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 Installing Options ICHx Fix ACPI Fix SMBIOS 667 CPUS=1 Fix Big Issue First Boot with CPUS=1 -s otherwise immediate restart > mv /system/library/extensions/NVDAResman.kext /System/Library (if you want to save it (worthless)... if not... no working screen) > exit should get the initial configuration screen (no Mac Welcome Screen in this distro) What´s working =========== WiFi --> use RAlink 2860 installer http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html LAN --> out of the box Sound --> use Insanelymac's AzaliaAudio installer Hardware & Drivers Sound http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97201. USE output in the back cover. The left side output doesnt work. Bluetooth --> out of the box WebCam --> out of the box (you can see it during initial configuration ) Not Working 100% ============= Screen VGA mode no QE or CI. Have tried dozens of alternatives. Use Graphics Mode 1680x1050x32 (max resolution anyway). Hints ==== If during first boot (not installing) you get MAc Frame.... 4096 something and GET STUCK there, you have not chosen the correct options as stated above. ACPI is a killer for this machine and the other two options are required. Enjoy. ====== UPDATE EDIT =========== Fixed the cpus=1 bug. How? Used DSDT Patcher and installed the Chameleon Booter for dsds loading. Wanted to include the dsdt.aml file but Im not allowed. PM if you need it.
