North Bridge - Intel G35

South Bridge - Intel ICH8

Audio - Realtek ALC888S Audio

Lan - Intel 82566DC Gigabite Ethernet Card

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8 GHz

2x 2GB DDR2 Kingston Memory

XFX GeForce 8400GS 256MB

Western Digital 500GB SATA-2

LiteOn DVDRW SATA

I'm trying to install iDeneb 1.4 into my PC.

I read that this distribution works great with this MoBo.

My HD:

1: WindowsVista (NTFS)

2: Data (NTFS)

3: Data (NTFS)

4: OS X (80GB)

Could somebody tell me how to do it?

specificing the BIOS config, and the customize selection..

I try a lot of combinations between kernels and drivers but i can't make it work.

Thanks.

Use this guide.. In any case, Kaly is very easy to install and later add certain kexts (as explained in the link). It has the solution for Audio and LAN. For the video, lookup in google something like geforce 8400gs kext site:insanelymac.com.

if you dont know how to install kext (drivers) let us know. Are you new to this?

Good luck.

PS: Its better if you do some searching before asking help.

  • 2 weeks later...

forstly u donot need a boot cd to that..this mobo workks superb , im just worried about the audio though it works only sere with azalia codec.

press F10 while POST time, u get an windows to boot through Dvd or HDD.

while the dvd in the deck, select the liteon dvd and when see some text like installation will begin in 5 ..4..3...

Press F8 and then hit -v (verbose)

u see texts scrolling, i bet this mobo never hangs in this stage in any distros, like iaktos,ideneb,ip..

Coz i have tested with all of them...

You are closer to my specs so there must be no problem...

I use Core2Duo e7200 2.53ghz

3 GB Ram@667Mhz

Seagate 1TB+320GB

XFX 8600GT XXX

Logitechs wireless combo.

and after the texts end..you come in into installation window, wait for a minute, then u see a bar above...Goto utillities and select disk utittlity and in ur hdd select the partion u want and erase it with MAC JOURNALED.and here you go.

Continue select the the drive you erased and before hitting the installion key make sure u custime the installtion in nice way...donot select any kernel,9.6 kerenel works if it fails to shutdown.install the Openhalt restart fix (extract it from dvd with pacifist).

and here you have a Intel DG35EC With MAC OS X.
