Dellius
Help me build a gaming Hackintosh, please. I have put aside about 1000 Euro for the project and I intend to use second hand parts in order to get the most for my money. Give me your advice, please

Dellius
Thank you for your reply, Synaesthesia. I prefer to use an nVidia card, though. Could you suggest anything that would be both compatible with OS X and could provide me with high performance. Regarding the other components, I know some brands have problems with OS X, so could you be more specific, please.
Synaesthesia
OK the best working nVidia card is the 9800GTX+ Now it's called the GTX-250. Sorry, but, look around the forum for more buying advice. There's a TON of info. I always help people out, but I get sick of it sometimes. Searching has always worked for me! Good luck.
Dellius
Here is what I managed to come up with so far. Mobo - Intel DX58SO - because of SLI. CPU - Core i7 920 GPU - nVidia 9800 GTX+ HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Internal hard drive - 300 MBps - 7200 rpm RAM - DDR3 4GB - Kingston Value Ram 4GB 1333MHz Kit DDR3 Non-ECC (KVR1333D3N9K2/4G) LAN - Realtek PSU - CoolerMaster eXtreme 500 Watt Display - either of the following. I chose them because I would like to take advantage of nVidia 3D Vision. Samsung® SyncMaster 2233RZ 120 Hz LCD display ViewSonic® FuHzion™ VX2265wm 120 Hz LCD display Tell me, please, what do you think so far.
Dellius
Tell me, please, is this configuration going to be able to run a vanilla installation and in the same time provide me with a decent gaming performance.
Synaesthesia
Yeah, it should work. SLI doesn't work. Gaming performance will be pretty good.
