10.5.6 shutdown / power off problems, slow restart

I've used this guide to install 10.5.6 retail successfully on my PC (Asus P5Q mobo).

 

The OS is working really fast and stable, the sleep option works smoothly too.

 

However, if I try to shutdown my PC it won't power off, in verbose mode I get the Halted message but after that VGA signal goes off, I can see my G15 Keyboard screen flickering (like if the power coming from the USB was too low to keep the LED display on), but the computer won't completely shutdown.

 

Same thing happens with restart, but the "flickering keyboard phase" lasts for 20 seconds, after that it restarts with no side effects.

 

I tried to replace some kexts from iDeneb 10.5.5, where I experienced no problems during the setup of the DVD Retail partition, I also installed the OpenHaltRestart module as said in the guide, I found a poweroff_fix method which was based on the execution of a script before shutting down, and tried the cpus=1 boot option, but I had no success with any of this options.

 

Does anyone else finds itself in the same situation? Is there any fix / workaround to this issue?

I have the exact same problem in my machine.

Everything works great, except the power off problem!!

If anybody knows a way to fix this...

Any help would be much appreciated.
