Hello,

Firstly, awesome site - without it I couldn't have got OSX working on my Inspiron 1520 so thanks to everyone who contributes. Much obliged!

Secondly, got a bit of a weird problem. I'm dual booting Vista and OSX, partitioned originally as:

1st: 60gb empty space for Vista

2nd: 60gb OSX

3rd: 180~gb Data NTFS

When I installed iPC 10.5.6 onto partition 2, I had a 200mb EFI partition as you'd expect. This was confirmed in gparted before I installed Vista. So, Vista goes on there. Made the changes in bcd and dropped chain0 on there so I could select the OS from the Vista bootloader.

Went about doing my configs, data copies and other setup then checked the partitions again for any weirdness and bam - the EFI partition has gone.

Now is this because I'm using the Vista bootloader? I thought the EFI partition had a bit more than just the OSX bootloader on it...?

Can't say I'm too fussed as I've managed to get nearly everything working in Leopard now thanks to the many files and guides on here - just thought it was a bit weird that it had gone walkabout...

Cheers

It's hidden.

In Terminal in OS X:

diskutil list

See, it's there.

Umm, nope. Not there chum.

jerky:~ randal$ diskutil list
/dev/disk0
