JMS4
Looking for a recommendation for a video card that will be used mostly for Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, SketchUp, etc. I do a lot of zooming in and out :-). I am going to be using a Gigabyte P45-UD3P MB. Thanks!

aed0101
I do not recommend 8400GS. I have ATI HD2600xt, HD4850 and nVidia 8400gs. 8400gs is very slow, and I am not talking about gaming. Get a reference ATI HD2600XT with 256MB GDDR3 memory off ebay (don´t get a GDDR4 or 512MB versions)- that´s the best you can get for little money. That one should be fine (that´s the one from real mac, you can get one for PC as well): http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-ATI-2600-XT-...%3A1%7C294%3A50
MaaseyRacer
9400GT, 9600GT, or 9800GT. I do not game and I use a 9800GTX+ I switched over from an X1900. The 9600GT is almost the same price as the 9800GT, and the GTX/GTX+ are really close in price now to the GT. Set a budget and choose a card based on that. Personally I think the the 9 series NVIDIA cards are worth the extra expense.
Synaesthesia
I still think an 8400GS is just fine for non-gaming use. I put in a 7200GS for my friend and it's great. In fact it's MUCH faster than a Intel GMA 950.
