Hi everyone, i was just wondering if there was a way to dim the screen of a hackintosh laptop when on battery power, it's kinda annoying having to do it manually, any help will be appreciated

Thanks,

well there is a osx feature in leopard too (do you have a battery indicator?)

go to system preferences

- > Energy saver

- > select settings for battery

- > next to the sleep tab select options and there you'll see "SLightly dim the display using this power source"

Thanks for the replies but here's the problem i have the battery meter, but in energy saver there is no option for slightly dim the screen using this power source. Also there is no bios option for this, and i can set it manually using keyboard shortcuts, but that is really annoying. Is there no other way?
