santicity
So basically, I followed this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=127330 and installed OSX86 on my computer and it works perfectly! Today I made a new partition, installed Windows 7 on it, and it was fine. I tried to set the partition 1 as active and tried to boot it, but I get the error: Missing Operating System I've tried booting into the second partition (one with leopard) no dice. I tried booting partition 1 (the one with EFI) and it doesn't work. I can set my 3rd partition as active and Windows 7 will boot fine, but that's not what I want! I've also tried to repair the disk using disk utility. Any ideas at all? I'm totally bonkered on the issue Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155186-missing-operating-system-osx86-retail-install-efi/ Share on other sites
Dr. Hurt
Windows doesn't play nicely in dual boot systems. It erases any boot loader in the MBR and puts it own. The solution now is using a boot-132 CD to into OS X (or any other way) and reinstall Chameleon EFI bootloader, then mark Leopard partition as active. santicity
Awesome thanks! I didn't know what to do exactly, so I just rebuilt the EFI Partition using the instructions from the original EFI Guide and rebuilt it using OSX Installer - worked like a charm. Gonna check out the bootloader now! Looks awesome Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155186-missing-operating-system-osx86-retail-install-efi/#findComment-1094834 Share on other sites
