Cold boot problem

Hi guys:

I have successfully installed iPC 10.5.6 on an:

Asus m2N32 deluxe, 6GB Memory (booting with maxmem=4096)

nVidia 8800GTS

 

Everything works fine and is stable except "cold boot" = from power off.

1. booting 10.5.5 [from another partition] works - cold & warm

2. booting 10.6.5 works only "warm" [i have to boot [u]into Vista before,[/u] do a restart then everything is fine, all subsequent work & reboots will work - no stability problems at all]

 

Whats the effect on 10.5.6 and "Cold boot": Instead of giving me the login-screen with the light blue background - I get a black screen with no video output, followed by a black screen with jumy cursor - no login at all.

 

It seems a device (Video ?) is not properly initialized by 10.5.6 (but will be by Vista). I use EFI-string for the nVidia 8800GTS .

A small "other-one": I don't have an Audio Input Device - I use Azalia...output works fine....
