hnnrs
Hi, Is is possible to overwrite an install with an upgrade of the same version? Following my failed attempt with Myzar 10.4.6 upgrade which left me with a blue screen and immobile mouse, I wan't to upgrade as opposed to wipe my disk with Jas 10.4.6. Only problem is I cannot select my partition that I want to write over with the 'upgrade' ie volume is not selectable (appears red as opposed to green). Any suggestions on how to do this? ZactheDraon
Wouldn't it be easier to get an Apple, if you want to run MAC why not just buy a cheap MAC? quixos
it looks like you can "downgrade" and install using Archive and Install. here is apples page on it. not on this page, but another of theirs, they said something like "downgrade installs "appear" to work", so i guess they don't support them. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25404 googling "downgrade instructions os x " gave me the most good looking results. let us know how it goes. and i get a lot of good information from this site... downgrade instructions... http://www.informit.com/articles/article.a...1&seqNum=9&rl=1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15497-how-can-i-overwrite-install/#findComment-99545 Share on other sites
