Go for external usb or firewire. -Stell This mobo doesn't have any onboard firewire... I have tons of free USB ports and a free PCI slot, what USB or PCI cards would you recommend? Damn near any pci firewire 400 card will work on a osx86 machine. Google around for USB audio devices for Mac. There are tons of them that work. You can go from a cheap $7.99 one to $200+. Depends on the kind of features you want.
