Those are harmless (well I never use Safari but at least it didn't break the rest of the system)

 

Even the latest security update is Hackintosh-safe.

 

I'm running iPC 10.5.6 final on a P4 model 651 in a ASUS P5Q-E board. Voodoo 9.5.0 final kernel and ChameleonSM bootloader.

 

You can find threads about installing the Apple Software Updates on the news board.

There's always some fearless individuals who'll try them and post what happened.

 

I don't trust an update until I see people with both pre-core duo type Intel CPUs and AMD cpus have installed it successfully. That might change once I get a Core 2 Duo CPU myself and can run a less modified installation.

 

Of course even with 10 people reporting that an update is safe there's always a small chance that it breaks your install somehow no matter what hardware you have.
