Need help with Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter WUSB54G Mac OSX compatibility?

When he asks for the chipset he wants you to look on the back of the adapter and check what version it is, and then look up what version's chipset is. Or maybe if you still have your driver install disk you can see what the chipset is by looking on there for the drivers themselves (the file names usually are the name of the chipset).

I've got ver 4.0 of this adapter, and i came across a thread on this forum which i cant find now, that actually got it working, and i had it working on a previous Hacintosh install.

 

Now that ive used a new Distro of OSX ive come back here looking for the solution but can not find it.

 

I think i remember reading that only ver 4.0 chipsets worked because they were the only ones compatible with the railink utility.
