iseelamepple
Hello and sorry to Jorge for hijacking your thread. I have the same reboot problem on my desktop on default install. I don't mind messing around, but I'm kind of new to this and don't know where to start. Using the -v -f flag gets me the furthest, terminating around something like Safety Net. I don't see any posts on that using search, or maybe I'm just searching for the wrong thing. Using cpus=1 doesn't help either. Is there any way to dump/log/printscreen/slow the process so I can actually see what entry is causing the problem? ----- Which is the most likely component that will fail because of a default install ie with vanilla kernal/no specific drivers? I have a Gigabyte P945 board, Pentium D 3.4Ghz (SSE3 capable), SATA hard drive, nVidia 8500GT. EDIT: I assume that default install loads generic drivers? Or was I supposed to check one of every driver component? Thanks in advance! I installed iPC yesterday in DX58SO. You need another HD with iAtkos 10.5.5. Then you mount iPC DVD on your desktop, open mac OS X installer and install iPC. You must change the install location disk to the other disk that no have system. In iPC install options you must select only the iPC base system and the ICH10 chipset. When you finish your install then you must install the patches form iAtkos DVD install like this: Chameleon Boot Loader (uncheck PC EFI V9) Apple Decrypt DSMos SMBIOS-EFI SMBIOS-Enabler AppleSMBIOS-28 9.5.0 FASSL Kernel X86 ACPI DISABLER.KEXT Graphics Update Nvidia>Natit (not the other Natit higher up on the drivers tree) Intel SATA Intel AHCI Sata this method work for me. Beerkex'd
If you can't boot from your install DVD: Anyone who has more than 2GB of RAM should try booting with maxmem=2048 Anyone with a multicore CPU should try booting with cpus=1 Combine the flags like maxmem=2048 cpus=1 and add -v to the end to boot in verbose mode for easier troubleshooting. litustone
Hi. sorry my english is very bad, but I just want to know if iPC 10.5.6 works fine, it's all to buy this board. I probe iPC 10.5.6 in the dp45 and works wonderfully, now, what is the risk it if I buy the intel DX58SO? I installed iPC yesterday in DX58SO.You need another HD with iAtkos 10.5.5. Man, you just saved my life ! One week trying to boot the damn iPC DVD from an USB key on my new watercooled & overclocked Q9550 on a P5Q with 8GB of RAM ( :pirate2: forever), I was getting completely crazy after trying every combination of drivers, hacks and partition tables... I even downclocked the CPU and RAM just to be sure Ah, si eu pudesse installer o iPC na praia de uma cidade linda como Belo Horizonte... Queria a vida sempre assim, com iPC perto de mim... lala lalalala lalalalaaaalaaaaaaaa tum tum tididim, tum tum tadadam (sorry people, saudade, once you got it...) Valeu, cara !
