I have successfully installed ideneb 1.4 10.5.6. I couldn't get it to boot at all after the initial restart untill i added rd=disk0s1 into the boot. the problem is, it will only boot this way or at all if i have the dvd in the drive and press f8 for boot options when it is starting up. if i remove the dvd from the drive it sits at the apple screen with the rotating pinwheel thing and then the rotating stops and it hangs. I tried booting it verbose and it hung during a bunch of mac file decrypting... if there was a visible error it was below the overscan on my lcd... any ideas? i can still boot into the os no problem with the dvd initiating the boot and the rd=disk0s1 string.... thanks

Yea, me too. This will be interesting so I'm holding this spot to EDIT with the fix; when we get it!

iDeneb 1.4 install to SATA drive using an IDE DVD drive, in Combo/Legacy mode in BIOS.

Computer looses boot device when install DVD is removed.

On black screen reads"cannot find boot device" f1 to retry f2 to setup

Missing bootloader on the HDD and/or partition not flagged as bootable/active. Use the search guys..

Right, so the link in that post doesn't work, a little creative searching and here it is:

Or try downloading and installing the latest Chameleon bootloader.

Not sure about the "setting the partition as bootable" part, I don't think the Chameleon installer does it.

But try installing Chameleon first, at least it won't make your situation any worse.
