go to Utilities and open up the system profiler, click on Graphics/Displays and find the line that says Device ID:

let us know what it says there, it should look something like

0x791f (This isn't yours, it is mine, and it is an X1200 which appears to be unsupported at the moment).

 

yours is probably either

0x5d4f

or

0x554f

 

Reply back with your device id and we can take it from there. I see that ATI has a driver for the x800, but it is not the GTO, it is just the mac one. I'm not sure if there is a difference, but with your device id we can figure out if there is a driver out there for you.

Looks like zephyroth may have a driver for that one. You'll have to read up on whether or not there actually is a driver for your card.

 

A google search for "0x5d4f osx86" might also turn up some helpful results.

im in the same boat the OP is.. radeon X800 XT. my device ID is 4a4b. easy enough. im watching this thread for any solutions. its sad when my 10 year old iBook has a better picture than this 3 year old PC.
