Hello all,

I'm tired of all those "Hey, use iDeneb, iPC or XxX" topics... or maybe: "I can't boot..." so.. I have some experience in coding/cracking and I'm interested in mainly FIXING MY PROBLEM, but that can lead me to help others too.

I'm using a Realtek 8139 card on an Asrock 4coredual-sata2 (Via PT880) mobo. Using onboard Via Rhine II or Realtek 8139 I got the same behavior: network stop responding. Normally I let a terminal pinging www.google.com, and appereantly randomically ping just stops. I tried to simulate it in several different ways like: "When a sound is played" or "When I log in as root using sudo or su", but I just can't find a rule.

Anyway, I tried to kextload/kextunload the AppleRTL8139 driver, looked for a pattern on failures on system.log and etc... But now I don't know what to do.

So, my point is:

1st) Is there a network interface specific log?

2nd) Is it possible to somehow debug the driver? Maybe adding some breakpoints? Maybe recompiling voodoo kernel to add some more debug messages, etc...

Best Regards,
