Ombaudsman
I think that this problem is somehow common: Loosing connection randomically after a while. I bought this Realtek because someone said that my onboard Via Rhinne was the problem, BTW, my configuration is: 4coreDual-Sata2 + Q6600 + 2gb Mem + 6800gt AGP. Using 10.5.6 with Voodoo Core 9.5.0, removed seatbelt (DMG issue), and nvDarwin to get Quartz HW Accelerated. AFAIK, there are two possible solutions for this: 1) CPUS=1 -> I really don't want to waste my other 3 cores just to surf the web. 2) Use AppleRTL8139.kext from Tiger. 2.1) Can someone send me plz this kext, because I want to test 2.2) If this is somehow related with cpu timing or something like it. Shoulnt we have another possible solution, like using fixed memory timings or somerhing? Best Regards, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/153326-unstable-network-1056-realtek-8139/ Share on other sites

Best Regards, Well, as probably no one have this issue or maybe don't want to help, I'll try the B plan. 1) Is there a log in var/log that shows whats going on on the network? 2) Is it possible to debug, somehow, the AppleRTL8139 driver? 3) Besides system.log, are there any other logs worth looking when the problem happens? thanks.
