iloveitlouder
I was wondering if anyone has gotten Leopard installed successfully on their nc6120 laptop? I had an nx6310 that I got Kalyway 10.5.2 (upgraded to 10.5.6) working on, but it's the property of my dad's work and they need it back. I have my own nc6120, and the Kalyway 10.5.2 disc I had didn't run on it, so I was wondering if anyone else had any luck? Thanks! joestone
I want the answer too, same lap here too.maybe someone will be so kind and write insallation and preparation complete process? please! Come on people, help needed here, Please!! Hi ! I have succesfully installed IPC 10.5.6 on my HP NC6120 (PU885AA). I have 686DTD F.15 bios with all setting default except the switch between lan/wlan .The booting from the install dvd takes some time , during the load of install disc seems that the computer hangs , but you should wait few minutes and it successfully loads the installation window. I select the base 10.5.6 system the 9.5 voodoo kernel , gma900 , intel legacyPIIx , seatbelt.kext , ac97 audio ,usb mount fix , time machine fix , osx86tools , kexthelper ,smbios macbook. After the install you need voodoops2 for touchpad work correctly . You will need voodoopower, voodoobattery ,voodoousbehci from superhai and voodoointelbg2200 from mercurysquad. I attach my kext for the built in broadcom BCM5705 . It is working if you start your computer with -f kernel flag other way it causes kernelpanic . I dont know why , the clearing of bootcache does not solve the problem . I have installed chameleon rc2 after everything is working. There are 2 things that are not working : the built in card reader , and hibernate . The software update is working but after software update I had to restore my gma900 driver form the IPC DVD and the kernel . If you save your kernel for example mach_kernel.950 then you can start the system with the saved kernel after update .Now I have 10.5.8 and 9.8 kernel working . I have installed ntfs3g but it can cause a problem , that the computer will not restart . It hangs during restart even if you istall psystar's haltrestart.kext. you have to manually switch off the machine. The normal switch of is working fine . The firewire is working fine . Quartz is enabled and working. AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/153297-leopard-on-hp-compaq-nc6120/#findComment-1252701 Share on other sites
