Hi,

I have a recently acquired Hackintosh and it's great but for one thing, everytime I try to play a game I run into problems!

The mac itself is specced up to the eyeballs and should easily run pretty much ANYTHING!

I recently bought Prey and it wouldn't work, it just did the bouncing icon thing in the dock and then quit! My housemate (who built the computer for me) fixed it by downloading the Prey demo and "patching" it with that somehow.

Had a similar problem with Call Of Duty 2, couldn't get it to work!

I've just downloaded the Doom 3 demo and, when I click on the icon, it also appears in the dock bounces and then disappears! Have downloaded the patch but that only works for the full game.

Any ideas on why this should/could be? it all runs pretty smoothly otherwise!

I hope this isn't too hopelessly vague! I'm not too techy, but, if you need more info let me know!

Was just hoping this was a common, easily fixable issue! It does rather put me off buy (the rather linited selection of) games for the mac in the future! Shame, because Prey ran perfectly and looked awesome, but I've finished it now!

Thanks

Mark
