totoro81
Hi everyone, my Hackintosh works pretty well, except for one thing (a couple, actually... but one is the power off problem and I never tried to fix it, yet). My big problem is the kernel panic I get when I try to use my ATA DVD. It doesn't happen every time I use it. I read about some problems with more than 4GB of RAM, but I don't think it is my problem: I got no panics until I put a DVD in. I'm using Logic, iPhoto and all the rest without problems. Before installing the jMicron extension, I didn't see the DVD at all... Do you think that using a SATA DVD would fix the problem? Thanks! EDIT: Sorry, I didn't want to post this twice... How can I delete one of the topics? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/152645-problems-with-ata/ Share on other sites
