dale-da-ledge1 Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 After a bit of brainstorming i figured out how to get i life and or iwork 09 to install on leo4all 10.5.2 Amd Show package contents on ilife or iwork package and edit the .dist file in bbedit do a quick search for 10.5.6 and replace it with 10.5.1 the Distribution.dist.zip for ilife (Copy into the .mpkg) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

xXrkidXx Posted April 5, 2009 Share Posted April 5, 2009 hes saying find your copy of iLife or iWork and right click and show package contents, then open the .dist file with bbedit(in apps folder), search the text and find 10.5.6, replace it with 10.5.1. ohenryormx Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 other easy way: go into System>Libary>Core Services>SystemVersion.plist copy the file to your desktop! change both 10.5.1 in 10.5.6 save it and replace the old SystemVersion.plist with your new one install iLife and iWork change it back into 10.5.1 otherwise Aople tries to give you the Updates for 10.5.6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You can keep it if you want but I would be careful with the automatic apple updates because you can get the updates for 10.5.6 but they won't work on your machine !! It just displays that you have a 10.5.6 but you are actually still on 10.5.1! But you can install all the programs then which are normally only on 10.5.6 allowed / supported !
