frank95com
Hi , I have iDeneb 10.5.5 installed on my pc which has an NVIDIA 8600GT graphics card that works perfectly. I installed the drivers provided by the iDeneb disk and here's what System Profiler says about my video card: Graphics by NVIDIA: Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0402 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.1 Displays: Philips 190CW: Resolution: 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Rotation: Supported Display Connector: Status: No display connected I have a monitor attached via DVI and I would like to connect another monitor, a VGA one, to the other DVI in thru a VGA-to-DVI adapter. I would like to know what I have to do to have two monitors working. P.S.: the two monitors have a different resolution. Is this a problem? Thanks in advance. westwaerts
you can give it a try. i have a 8600 GTS with two DVI Ports and both a working, but i use efistrings instead of nvinject ( display settings are handled by OSX so dont bother) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151960-dual-monitor-nvidia-8600gt/#findComment-1074435 Share on other sites
3Hives
I've got the same card. Running on Kalaway 10.5.2. Both ports work great. Different resolutions shouldn't be a problem Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151960-dual-monitor-nvidia-8600gt/#findComment-1076645 Share on other sites
