Epic Fail
I'm using Kalyway 10.5.2 and like the title says, my harddrives aren't detected. My harddrives are SATA, and one is a WD Cavier 160gb and the other is a Seagate 160 gb. In the past, my harddrives haven't been detected on iAtkos and other dists. However, when I borrowed an old 40gb IDE from a friend, it was detected on iAtkos. I'd just like to know if my harddrives aren't compatible and if there is some other way to install Leopard (like installing on a usb/external and copying over to one of my HDs). Thanks for your time. Scottapotamas
As for the detecton errors.. Can't help you there. But with installing to an external HDD, I think you should search the forum for things like "Flat Image installation" If the Ext HD is formated in HFS+ then you should be able to do a fresh install to it. If you can get it booting to the ext drive, then you could copy it across with a program like Carbon Copy Cloner (freeware) or something like that... Good luck! Epic Fail
Thanks for the tip. However, my external HD broke not too long ago. I'll try to find something to install it on.
