h.M.M
Hello, I'm having problem with System Profiler displaying wrong information and I cant find out how to fix it. I'm have install retail and using boot-132 to load kext needed for my system, and if I load SMBIOS.kext I get following: Model Name: Mac Model Identifier: SomeModel Processor Speed: 8 GHz Boot ROM Version: XXXX.XXXX.XXX Serial Number: SOMESRLNMBR And if I don't load the SMBIOS.kext I get: There was an error while gathering this information. IF anyone have an idea how to fix it I would be happy becouse I've been trying for hour to find something that works, (many different SMBIOS.kext and SMBIOS com.apple.Boot.plist patching) but none of them have worked. Sorry for my bad english. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150669-no-or-incorect-information-in-system-profiler/ Share on other sites
nebulOSX
Try Mac.nub's smbios Kext. If you are using boot132/chameleon you will need to add the kext to the bootloader. Kext attached. Also make sure that when you use the kext I have attached, you don't have SMBIOSEnabler.kext in there as well. AppleSMBIOS.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150669-no-or-incorect-information-in-system-profiler/#findComment-1064959 Share on other sites
