kseelbo
Hi, well, at least I'm not the only one stuck on dial up. Here's what I have found so far: No PCI modems are supported, apple didn't make them and neither did anyone else. External modems are a different matter. I tried a USR 56k external serial modem but it crashed internet connect everytime. I then bought a Best Data 56k USB modem and it works pretty well. Sometimes it has to be un-plugged/re-plugged to get it working, but I'm on now with it. My suggestion would be to buy Apple's 56k USB modem ($35.00?). You know its supported. Serial modems are a risk only because the one I used reliably crashed after 1 minute, but there are a ton of older 56k serial modems for mac on ebay. Good luck, hope this helped.
