vancouvercanucks2010
I have a P4P800-VM motherboard with 700MBish ram and onboard graphic card, all version of hackintosh would not allow me to get pass the bio part, it didnt even bother showing the apple logo before restarting itself. anyone can guess why this is happening? thanks I have fully installed Tiger, but i cannot installed anything on it, not even live messenger or firefox. vampi
uhm try cpus=1 at the boot prompt. try -v too, and maybe -x (you can use them all at once). Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150412-restart-loop/#findComment-1063346 Share on other sites

Pipe G
Dude!! thats the exact same thing that happens to me with iDeneb v1.4 and iPC latest versions it seems that the only difference its that i could install the thing but at the end of the installation when it tells you to restart it {censored}ed up, I was able to install iatkos v1.0 but no other version. I have intel motherboard, 2,8 pentium d, 2 gb ram, 8800gt xfx. Its just wierd and i cant tipe any comands at all i get to the part when it tells me to press enter to install or wait 7 seconds, if i wait it reboots, if i press enter i install again. I dont know what to do! and no one here seems to know the answer. Looks like its just to much hehe. Ok man good luck i hope we can solve this annoying issue! Gujal
You have to choose the right kernel during install. As your P4 CPU wont have the NX bit, you cant use the Vanilla Kernel. If you did it will keep rebooting. Best one for your CPU is the Voodoo Kernel, it is ver 9.5.0 so select the seatbelt fix too when you install Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150412-restart-loop/#findComment-1164701 Share on other sites
