tyroiii
Hi, I have a 10.5.6 retail install and an ASUS P5K Pro MB. It has a built-in Marvell 80E8056 Lan. I have managed to get the lan working for 100TX but can't get the gigabit connection working by editing the info.plist in IONetworkingFamily. The connection would get drop all the time. Has anyone gotten the 88E8056 to work using a gigabit connection? tyroiii
After trying many different setting and also trying it in Vista 64, I thought I had a defective lan chipset. To make a long story short, I made a classic mistake. I was using cat 5 cable for my hackintosh and a cat 5e cable elsewhere. So, check your cables first if you are having problems with 1000T but have 100TX working.
