jamex
I've tried just about everything and can get the resolution perfect and force QuartzGL with OSX86 Tools but cannot get QE or CI to enable. I used the 8800 GTS 512MB EFI string. Would the 8800M require a different string for some reason? Anyone got this working in 10.5.6? Thanks. upinthecloude
yes 8800m strings matter. They are different from their desktop counterpart. As for me, my EFI strings didn't work at all for my 9600gt. However, if I was to install a bootloader on another partition, it would load the strings along with NVDarwin 1.2.5, which resulted in full support. superpimp
Are you using Vanilla install? If you have intel core 2 duo, reinstall vanilla, other kernels mess with the drivers and might ruin functionality. Aaron J
bumping this. Does anyone have a solution? I really want to play some Plants vs Zombies. Don't know why you can't use CoreVidia. I use it on my Gateway P-6831FX with the 8800m GTS 512. Before I used NvDarwin and that worked perfectly too. I get what seems be full 3d acceleration. I tested it with some demos and it worked fine. Using iDeneb 1.4 install 10.5.7 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150255-nvidia-8800m-gts-1056-no-qeci/#findComment-1165080 Share on other sites
