Original install was iDeneb v1.3 I followed the guide found here I am currently using the StageXNU kernel. Here are some issues I'm having: My processor is now showing as 4 GHz instead of 2.66 GHz. (Core 2 Duo E7300) No sound (onboard or PCI M-Audio 2496 using the drivers found here that worked on 10.5.5) System specs: Intel DG31PR mATX LGA775 G31 DRR2 SATA Video Sound GBLAN Motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.66GHZ 1066FSB 3MB Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 4GB DDR2 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 5-5-5-18 240PIN Memory ASUS EN8400GS SILENT/HTP/256M GeForce 8400GS 500MHZ 256MB DDR2 PCI-E VGA DVI HDTV Out Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 3.5IN 500GB SATA2 8.5MS 7200RPM 32MB Cache OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W ATX12V 24PIN Active PFC ATX Power Supply Any help would be great. osx86ho Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 Well I'd install a proper AppleSMBIOS hacked kext to fix your About this mac misreport of cpu. Also Id chnage to the vanilla kernel as I'm pretty sure you should be able to run it with that hardware. Not sure what the sound card is on that mobo but try to read up on the codec and install a new kext for it. Taruga usually has some kind of fix for sound. What I did was extract the kexts for my Audio and the SMBIOS from the iDeneb installation DVD and then just reinstalled those. Seems to be working so far. Now I just need to figure out why the M-Audio card isn't working now.
