It's not a bad deal. A self build with similar specs (but with 8GB of ram) is around 500-550ish. Just know that all sales at CircuitCity are final now. If you take it home and find out something is wrong with it, CircuitCity isn't going to help.

Some motherboard specs so can make sure drivers are working:

Northbridge: G33

Southbridge: ICH9R

Audio: ALC888S

LAN: Realtek 8111C

And don't expect to be able to overclock. HP doesn't want you messing around with that stuff and then taking advantage of their warranty if something goes wrong.

mmm...having 2nd thoughts here...

Well then rather build something yourself, and if something goes wrong, it's covered by guarantee, I say...

GO with a build....Hp's Are not that great, i am using something so similar to this the only difference is speed and ram.....Thats it....And OSx is not a walk in the park for it either....

How circuit city works (to my knowledge)-Liquidators come in, take all current prices down, put regulars up, then place a few % maybe 10 off.....Nothing big...
