scoobyOSX Posted January 26, 2009 Share Posted January 26, 2009 I'm having the same problem. On iatkos v1 and on kalyway 10.5.5 work but on iPC 10.5.6 a tried everything to an i can get it to work. Ethernet worked fine on Kalyway 10.5.2 and Iatkos 5i 10.5.5 using the AppleIntel8255x.kext with hardware address added (0x27dc8086), although I usually had to delete the same kext from the /System/Library/Extensions folder after modifying the same kext in the IONetworkingfamily.kext to make it work. Tried the same procedures repeatedly with IPC 10.5.6. On one occasion, Ethernet came up and was working. After next restart, Ethernet is recognized but the machine says the cable is unplugged. The cable is NOT unplugged. I've tried manually configuring as well to no avail. I also installed the Intel Pro 100/ve kext upon install but there was no ethernet at all then. Anyone have any ideas? I will add that windows vista now recognizes a bad ethernet connection upon boot but generally fixes it within 10 - 30 seconds. Thanks in advance! I could get nothing happening until that kext was removed.
