BartNijland
Hi all, I'm just wondering what your performances are with Call Of Duty 4 (the OSX Aspyr release). I really don't get it, the game runs > 30fps but it still very laggy and slow. Well, it's not always slow but it really is when I'm looking at a big open area for example. Anybody else have this problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149127-cod4-native-performance-on-hackintosh/ Share on other sites

Anybody else have this problem? I can't get the single player to work on mine, but the multiplayer runs great and the graphics are amazing. BartNijland
Then what could it be? I'm running on AMD 6000+ and 8800GT 512MB and 4GB of memory (Voodoo Kernel 1.0). Maybe it's because I have a AMD? (tried all settings) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149127-cod4-native-performance-on-hackintosh/#findComment-1055684 Share on other sites

(tried all settings) I don't know I posted a thread a while back now and have been waiting for a response about why my single player might only work. I hope someone else with an i7 can test it out and see what could possibly going on. I was on the voodoo 1.0 and now got the 2.0 beta. neither of them got the single player to run. BartNijland
It's pretty stable now.. Had to overclock my 6000+ from 3,0 ghz to 3,3 ghz and turn all those fancy settings like glow, hdr off. Too bad, but at least I can play the game now. Any fix for that COD4 SP? BartNijland
Okay, guess I was wrong. The FPS is high, but the game is slow. This is because in some are the game reaches about 100 fps, and some about 18-30 which makes the game a real pain in the ass. Can anyone with an AMD verify this? BartNijland
Also experiencing a new problem: when playing multiplayer after 5 minutes of playing it just hangs every 2 seconds. Then it plays for 2 seconds and it hangs again enz. When I go back to the menu, this is gone and I can play again (for 5 minutes.) Other game work perfect!
