Intel DG33FB motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550 2.33 GHz

Graphic/Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT

Sound Card: Realtek Audio ALC888

RAM : Transcend DDR2 2 GB

DVD writer: Lite-On DH-20A4P (non-SATA)

I am using Kalyway 10.5.2

No IDE device--dvd burner or hard disk work with Leopard installed.

They all work fine with Windows XP.

One IDE dvd-writer which worked on my friends Hackintosh (same Operating System though as mine, motherboard Intel 945) does not work on my Intel G33.

Has JMicron something to do with it?

Is there a solution?

Thanks in advance.

You need a modified AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext to get your IDE drive working. SATA works in AHCI mode.

Thanks.

Hi MacNutty, we have pretty much the same hardware configuration.

Can you please help me out here with my PS2 mouse and PS2 keyboard problems?

If you have PS2 keyboard and mouse then search for modified ApplePS2 kext. Here I found one PS2 Controller

Hi MacNutty, I have Nvidia GeForce 8600GT 512MB. It worked properly in 10.5.2. I used to get proper animation while using Time Machine. Now, the screen is scrambled when I click on the Time Machine icon.

I had used NVinstall 0.41. in 10.5.2 and even now i reinstalled it. In System Profiler>>Graphics i have this:

Graphics by NVIDIA:

Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA

Type: Display

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 512 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Device ID: 0x0402

Revision ID: 0x00a1

ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.1

Displays:

716Sw:

Resolution: 1280 x 720 @ 60 Hz

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Software

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Not Supported

Display Connector:

Status: No display connected

I think the Mirror: off is the reason for the graphic problem now. What did you do for your 9400 GT 512MB.

Please help.

Thanks.

update: just found a new version nvinstaller 0.52 (36Kb)

now time machine looks good. System profiler shows:
