Guest
Intel DG33FB motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550 2.33 GHz Graphic/Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT Sound Card: Realtek Audio ALC888 RAM : Transcend DDR2 2 GB I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 and the install was completely successful without any issues. I was trying to install the Combo update 10.5.4 downloaded from apple's website and at 32%, i got the error screen asking me to press the power button or reset button. I had to then use Time Machine backup to restore my system. Since then I am unable to boot without the Kalyway install DVD. I tried this and did not work: Opened terminal after booting from Kalywaydvd. fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (disk 0 is my hdd) flag 1 (my Kalyway partition) update write quit reboot Then i inserted ToH dvd at boot and did this: Opened Terminal cd .. cd .. cd .. cd usr/misc sh script.sh Kalyway (volume label of my Kalyway installation) the run script runs. then i did this(again): fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (disk 0 is my hdd) flag 1 (my Kalyway partition) update write quit reboot No success. Help plz. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148861-cant-boot-kalyway-without-dvd/ Share on other sites
abhi93
Google "chameleon bootloader" and download the latest package. Run the installer and install it on your install partition. Reboot after it finishes. Hope this helps!
