supermx3
best thing i can say is to poke around and see what other people have used, i have a M2N-SLi Deluxe, good mobo but has some small issues and uses a AMD cpu, just kinda look at what it uses for ethernet, chipset, sound, video(if your gonna use integrated) and see if there are patches out there for it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148855-help-with-asus-motherboard/#findComment-1053802 Share on other sites
westwaerts
p5b + intel chipset > vanilla install, most distros work oob ( kaly, IPC) - sound only stereo out + ethernet oob - jmicron is and remains a pain ( need Sata devices) there are newer asus boards, like p5q, but look in the specific postings, which are their advantages and pains.
