wood_e Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 This is my first post here, lets see how I do. I am attempting to get OSX to boot and install on a Gateway M275 Tablet PC. I downloaded the 10.4.3 build 8F1111 and patched the ISO with the JaS Generic Patch. The DVD attempts to boot but I get a kp. I attempted to install it on another PC here to see if it was a hardware issue and it appears to be universal that my DVD doesn't seem to work with any PC I tried it on. I switched to verbose mode on the install and it panics right after it gets an error of: SAM Multimedia: Read or Write failed, ASC = 0x3e, ASCQ = 0x02 SAM Multimedia: Read or Write failed, ASC = 0x15, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: Read or Write failed, ASC = 0x15, ASCQ = 0x00 SAM Multimedia: Read or Write failed, ASC = 0x3e, ASCQ = 0x02 SAM Multimedia: Read or Write failed, ASC = 0x15, ASCQ = 0x00 disk1s: I/O error hfs_mountroot failed: 5 nfs_boot: networking is not initialized panic(cpu0 caller 0x002B57B0): nfs_boot_init failed with 6 This happens on any x86 machine I try. I will try burning another DVD. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! U.C. Posted May 27, 2006 Share Posted May 27, 2006 JaS i am having the same error on my 10.4.3. On my lappy, your dvd works perfect. Also i had to do VMWare -> Native in order for it to install. Works in VMWare, but no dice in native. Neone found a solution yet.
